The colour in #5 seems a bit flat (lifeless). Other than that, a beautiful set of photographs  :)

Have these been luminance sharpened?

Can I ask what setup you had to take the pics? As in what lighting, backdrop etc...

The light is one of those arm type lights with joints to position although it does have a flourescent bulb which is a daylight bulb....it's the wifes and she uses it when doing cross stitch as it doesn't cast any colour when trying to determin thread colours. The fabric was bought from a local store to use as a backdrop...just cheap stuff a couple of quid for a couple of metres, they do loads of colours but I just bought one black and one white, I might try some high key with the white.....

Hoodi....what is it you see?

I like the first 5 shots... the framing and lighting works well.

Fantastic shots Ken.

I must say, I've seen your photography come along from when you first joined this forum, and IIRC you hadn't long since started out?

I must say though, since then I've personally seen your talent grow and grow, and you've absolutely come on in leaps and bounds since then, just getting better and better.

A credit to you mate. You've done well

Extended halos - luminance sharpening doesn't stop you from getting halos at all, it just makes them wider and a touch softer. Personally I prefer "normal" sharpening..
Some of them seem to have this effect to me - but I'm not certain, which is why I asked :)

Thanks very much for the comments......I think my favourites here or 3,5 and 6. I aslo forgot to mention that with some I used a orange a4 card to reflect the light...giving a warmer feel.

Thanks Marcel.....it will be close to 2 years since I first picked up a camera and nearly 1 1/2 years into slr.....

Sorry Hoodi....I don't see what you are seeing, in any case they haven't been luminance sharpened.
Thanks again.
Ken.
