I've decided to purchase this http://www.warehouseexpress.com/prod...1008573 but i just want to make sure from the experts if it's worth buying? I want this for macro shots.

...or a Tamron 90mm. Both good for macro.

The only macro zoom worth buying is the Nikon Micro-Nikkor 70-180 (which isn't really worth it for your Canon.)

Go for primes. They're all pretty good, the Tamron 90mm is excellent. The longer the focal length the further you can go from your subject while keeping 1:1 magnification. A 50mm macro puts you pretty close, 200mm is better.

Then again, a wider lens lets you get more background in shot. It all depends on what you're shooting and your budget.

Any of the dedicated macro lenses from canon, sigma, tamron or tokina are all pretty much the same quality so whichever you go for you will get decent results.
Get as long a focal length as your budget allows.

Canon EF-S 60mm f/2.8 Macro USM (http://www.fredmiranda.com/reviews/showproduct.php?product=293&sort=7&cat=2&page=4)

60mm will be the equivalent of 90mm on your crop sensor. There is also a 100mm version.
