My Canon 430EX II has arrived and I am so excited (or more the the point, probably sad) that I had to start a new topic :)
I've just been having a play with bouncing the flash and wow, what a difference compared to the built in flash.

I need help with this addiction, can someone please point me in the direction of a good rehab clinic..

My battery grip came this morning so I'm happy too :D
I've been an idiot to not get it sooner, I had one on my 350D before and I've struggled without one on the 5D for just over 2 years :bonk:

Hashcake, you've got to get on ebay and get yourself a set of cactus triggers. Then mosey over to Lee Filters and order the free swatch pack. Next, find some stickyback velcor, some cardboard and get making some snoots and gobos.

I can't find anywhere on their website to apply for the free swatch pack?

This is indeed an affliction...

Five flash guns later, two stands with brollies, optical triggers, cactus triggers, E-ttl cords...cardboard snoots, gel samples, I can't get enough...:D
