It was an ok day out and I wanted to get some more practice on my 28-70 before tomorrow. Here's what I came up with (just learning how to do frames so if they are aweful please tell me):

1. Curly sheep who seemed to love the camera!

2.The bright colours really caught my eye (Busterboy should recognize them)

3. Jurry is still out on this one

4. My favorite (although technically not the best). Conditions were not great as there was low lying clouds and fog but I thought it was a great moment caught between hunter and his dog.

5. My dog Obby. I never new it would be soooo hard to take a picture of a black dog!

6. Not really nature but I took it on my walk. I went a little bonkers with the post processing... does it work?

As always C&C welcome.

I like the one of the man and his dog - has a real 'Yorkshire' feel to it ;)

Thanks all. The more I look at the more I like the hunter. Might just have that one printed and framed for the wall!

Really nice framing............is it hard to do? I love the black dog peeping out from his fringe! The man and dog on the bridge is super too.

Those frames are excellent! About the best I've seen
Oh yeah, the photos are great too - I agree with everyone else, the man and his dog is the best. Maybe a bottom end levels tweak would help to remove the foggy appearance?

I can't take too much credit for the frames as I shamelessly followed Scott Kelby's instructions in his Elements 4 book. Once I got the hang of doing it exactly like he said I then added a few of my own touches.

Photostar- it really is easy the way he explains it and I highly recommend his book! I am an idiot at post processing and I got it right first try.

Hi,

Felt like a little play on photoshop and as I loved you farmer and dog shot so much I thought I would just see if I could get rid of the mist (though also living near the Dales I think it gives a very true photo keeping it in). Anyway this is what I came up with - I wasn't going to post it but I also wanna see if my monitor is too bright as this looks good on here, but think it may look very dark for some people :(

Yep, too dark. Lost a lot of detail in the shadows here :(

BTW, monitor 19" LCD calibrated with Spyder 2 Pro.
