Evening all, Ive read that a few people have had trouble with the compatabliity of these 16gb cards. Ive just bought one and put it in my d200, it formatted ok from the menu and says I have 617 pics available. I took 40 shots and it held them fine no worries. Everything seems fine but Im just scared to actually use it now after hearing about everyone elses issues. Is it a case of if it either works or it doesnt or am I going to get 300 pics on it then it suddenly spits the dummy out and Ive lost them. Anyone any experience with them?
thanks
Steve

I think there was problems with 'older' versions of them in some Nikons, they work perfectly in my 30D/50D bit that doesn't help you much :D

From what I remember it was puddleduck that gave Kingston a hard time over it

I had problems in my D3 & D300. Sent them back for a refund. If I recall correctly there were a few of us with the same issue.

Thanks for the replies, the ones that dont work, do they not work at all or work for a bit?

Lots of Nikon users on several forums have issues with these cards and got refunds.

IMHO these are unreliable and the last thing you want is a huge unreliable card.

You might be lucky... IMHO its not worth is when reliability costs a few ££ more.

8 posts, and 3 of us with reliablilty issues. Case closed IMHO.

If you're worried about capacity, why not copy 8GB of pics on it and see what it does?

I have just bought a 16gb CF for my d200 aswell. Its fine until a few hundred pictures in, then it just jams the camera. I happened to find this out while on a wedding, I almost **** myself. Luckily after a few minutes is freed up but turning it off, taking the battery and card out did nothing. It just stuck for a few mins. And then it does it again a few hundred shot on.

If I were you id just get 2x 8gb cards. Ive read there are issues with the D200 and 16gb cards too.

Theres nothing wrong with the card, it works fine in a 40D/50D and 5D so I might stuck it up in the FS section to see if anyone wants to swap for 2x 8gb.
