Never thought I`d see this again, but there it was when we went to Manchester airport viewing area. Would have loved to have flown in it.http://praxis1958.org.uk/conc.jpg

I just get goosebumps when i see images or think of concorde, it's probably one of our most iconic aircraft whose life was cut short by politics and paranoia over safety after a freak accident. There are very few occasions when in this day and age something comes to the end of it's life and there is nothing at all to better it or even come close.

NASA engineers have been believed to say that to design and build concorde was an even greater feat of engineering than sending men to the moon, if they said that who is anyone to argue! The Americans and Russians tried and failed to make a plane that came close to her, not only did we beat the two most powerful countries to it we made it look drop dead stunning to boot

Concorde indeed was a major pioneering feat of our time. I would have loved to have flown on her before the hand wringers closed it down, but unfortunately I never got the chance.

I have been to see her at Manchester Airport, but being the miser that I am (tighter than cramp ;)), I find it hard paying £12 just to look inside (Besides, I'd have to take my whole family, and that would cost a fortune...lol)
