I prefer #1. The pathway and the position of the tops of the trees seem to work better for me. In #2 the foreground trees seem to almost merge with the background trees and the big tree is almost consumed by those behind it. I hope that helps.

You've obviously done some PP on them and #2 is very noisy as a result.

Of the 2 No 1 is the better shot for me, composition is a little stronger. I think both shots lack a decent subject though especially considering there's some stunning scenery around West wales...

Just put a little bit of grain on them though it looked funky!:)
