I eventually got around to sorting my shots out - not many keepers :( But here are the ones I like:

1. It just wouldn't be London without the Jap tourists:

2. Pondering... A girl at the book stalls. Yes, the light at the top is distracting, but I can't be bothered to clone it out!

3. Reflections. Whilst the others were setting up tripods (I didn't take one) and getting hassle from security guards, I spotted these reflections in the puddles:

4.

5. Sk8ter Boyz. Not a fantastic shot from a technical point of view, but I really like it, so thought I'd put it in here anyway :p

Like the puddles ones expecially Cheryl  . Glad you had a good day.
You must be brave to take them shots of people  I took a few in York yesterday and was nervous about the folk being bothered cos I was taking pics of them (Maybe I should have taken my zoom lens :D ).

Nice shots, but lets see some with the 10-20mm please :D

I like the last one too, very urban feel or something; the leaves look great like that with the silhouette type processing.

Your reflection shots worked much better than mine Cheryl... (I blatantly copied Mini's idea. )...some good ghosting as well.

Your second shot is one of my favourites, nearly the first too. I think the concentration on the girls face clinches it for me.

What ISO where you shooting, I see a little noise...or added light fill noise?

If i remember correctly, I think the puddle shots are with the 10-20mm. I did take some of the national gallery, but they are more snapshots than anything else - I'll sort through them for you :)

another nice set Mini, white balance on the first seems a little off ? but may just be me!

Nice set, I especially like the reflections ans the skaters.

It just wouldn't be London without the Jap tourists I got a young couple playing with their video camera but it was too soft to show.

Yeah, i seem to have had a problem with WB settings on all my shots - then realised my WB was set for cloudy rather than auto :bang: Everything was rather cold and blue looking  Luckily I shot in RAW and was able to adjust them, but some obviously got adjusted better than others! Nevermind....

LOVE the reflections - especially the se4cond of the two - and made all the better considering they were handheld too - excellent. The one of the skaters also works for me - I love the sillouhette effect there. The japanese tourists is a great "capture the moment" shot - the expression on the girls face is superb.

1 is over sharpened imo, what happened to the bokeh?

I like number 4 the most

That last one's a cracker for me mini.

Not technically spot on? Pah, technical schmechnical (That really did sound better in my head, honest).

A great set, with the skaters and the reflection shots being my faves.
The first, it doesn look like it's oversharpening to me. It does look slightly overcooked though, but it looks like Rawshooters 'Fill Light' slider when it's used a bit too much. Could be wrong though :)

Kind Regards

lovely set Cheryl, love the skaters....all good though, the girl looking at books is great, no need to clone the bright bit out, just chop it off, It would make a good square format shot ;)

Yes - some nice ones there - the first ones do appear a bit noisy though...
Book-reading is the best one there with the B&W skaters a close second.

Lokks like you all had a good day out. The Girl with the book - sq cropped is a cracker.
