C&C Welcome.

First one for me, the tree compliments the dead space, we're seeing enough of the hills to know what they're about, (we're perhaps seeing too much of the left one in the second shot - I'd prefer to think that they both continue to rise for longer) and we can see more lovely foreground, which lends a certain depth to the image.
Both images feel like there's a sheer drop beyond the tree, which is lovely - as it turns the tree into our horizon line, giving it even more pop.
I normally don't like stylised text, but I think that what you've chosen here really compliemnts the images. Love the borders // general presentation!

Agree with Hoodi. Shots are clean, crisp, well composed and frames/borders suit subject. Sky in #1 is very dark giving way to lighter areas which splits photo in two. this prevents what should be best shot from taking top dog position and #2 wins by default.

Without going into all the analysis that Hoodi's already done, the hills look far more symmetrical, which accentuates the tree much more. Plus the vertical composition really strengthens it.

Really like the second. I would have that on my wall no probs.

Have no problem with either of them..... could never make a choice between the two. Both excellent.... /jealous
I prefer the second shot, no wasted space up top :)

Certainly not mate, please keep them coming! :)
These work quite well I think, although I prefer the first.
It seems more aesthetically pleasing. Probably because it's more symmetrical than the second, and the lack of symmetry stands out a bit in the second. :)
Thanks guys.....

Actually that's down to not using the shadow/highlight to tone the grass down as I did in the second.....couldn't decide which I liked the best.
Those hills and the tree are really some size which probably gets lost in the first two pics....so just to show the scale.

Thanks again.
