View Full Version : 1st Attempt at pinhole photography

What do you think? The first one is the negative that the pinhole camera produced and the second is the positive after I did a contact print.

It's a picture of a toadstool in the college grounds with one of the sighthill highrises in the background.

The positive....

I like it. I dunno why but as soon as I saw it I thought "Eastern Bloc / Russian" :thumbs:. Reminded me of images of many war torn Eastern European countries in poverty with high rises tower blocks etc.

What did you make it from? (The equipment)

I used a foxs biscuit tin, about 12" by 6" and about 2" deep, so focul length was 6". The pinhole was quite big as no one had a pin so I used an earring. I exposed it for 1min 30.

Thanks, I was quite pleased with it to for a first attempt. :)

if you look closely at the neg you can see a wire fence between mushroom and flats, no barbed wire though, sorry.
