Hi All,
I'm in the middle of my college still life and basic studio block. I'm seting up my still life at the moment and I used my DSLR to set up the lights and take some shots to see what it looked like. For the real shots we will be using medium format cameras and we are only alowed one light. For these shots it was one bowen 1000kw:thinking: (I think) head with a large softbox. I'm quite happy with these but I've got many more ideas and I'm going to set up some more stuff and see how it works. For the first part the reflections were killing me! I had to use black velvit to absorbe some of the light, but a good trial run.

Just can't get past the contradiction of pouring Budd into a Stella glass - unthinkable :(

Good work though. ;)

Number 3 for me too, Ally.

An impressive set :)

The last shot of the girl, I know some people might not agree, but I think the fact that she's wearing sunglasses, AND with the area under the hat being shadowy, adds to the image

nice work...I think the shots of the girl would look good in mono, or is that not allowed on your course?

Aye it will be B&W, the final shots will be takin on medium format cameras. I'm quite lucky that I can use the DSLR to set up the lights and have a look at whats going on :)

Thanks for all the comments guys
