So John (Dark Star) and I had a hour or two wandering round a small zoo http://www.hamertonzoopark.com/ snapping at anything that wasn't behind extra heavy duty wire... and some that were :)

It was one of those places that seem to care more about the animals than telling the visitors what they are. Most of the sign boards on the enclosures were blank - but the animals looked healthy and in clean enclosures.

Anyway They had some tigers but I didn't get one of those I was really happy with... maybe John did better.

Some of the other critters and birds...

Some great shots there Robert, its not that far from me, went there a few weeks ago :) I thought the Cheetah enclosure was probably the best big cat enclosure i have come across in any zoo, quite big and looked natural with all the long grasses and stuff :)

These were all asleep when i was there lol

Tomtom got us to the door but there were no signs on the way that we saw. Almost like they are hiding the place!

Same here, there are some brown tourist attraction type signs, but they dont shout wildlife park on them ! Cant remember exactly what they say though.

Great set of images - The parrot behind wire says it all. Love the close-up of the eye of the spotty teenager. You could have diverted that plane over the cottage . . . they must have known you wanted to take a picture without a trail. Truly a calandar shot.

Some very good shots. Especially like the kinfisher/kookaburra birdy.
The Parrot is sooo crisp.
