Here are some of my shots from the Hamerton Zoo trip that RobertP and I made on Sunday. Its a very nice zoo and worth a trip if you can find it! Comments welcome (my first time with RAW!).

Oh and apologies for my poor knowledge of the names of birds and beasts I was taking shots of!

I never even saw that one with the red beak! Like the shadows.... never noticed that either :)

I like the shadows as well. Some of them seem a trifle overexposed. Some good shots there.

Love the second one but I think it needs some tweaking to bring it out a bit. I've had a quick go with the low res version although I'm sure you could do better with the original....

Thanks Hacker and Chuckles - I'll have a play - I'm new to Raw and cautious about 'overdoing' it

Here's a second attempt:

And a third - not sure if its a tricky image to work with or I'm just too inexperience with RSP

Some good shots there, especially like the 2nd one... you've done a good job on the re-worked version

Thanks Mike - I'm finding my way! (indebted to RobertP for some tuition for the price of a Stella  )

#2 reminds me of the dodo's in Ice Age. That is the keeper for me.

Maybe a bit of fill in flash on 2 and 7 might of helped bringing out the darker tones. Nice shots all the same.
