I like this one and although not technically brilliant it certainly makes the point very well... :D

I understand everyone loves the 50mm, I dont understand why they are up for sale in the classifieds so much.
perhaps people get disheartend when they use them and actually find how hard it is at f1.4 to get anything in focus

I've never had the joy but i'd like to try these so called Nifty Fifties.

It's mainly the F1.8 which is up for sale so frequently.
People with the 1.4/1.2 tend to keep them.

I love this lens too although I find the dof very very very shallow on my full frame. f/3.5 is already a challenge to get right.
yep, they even survive when you drop them 5 feet onto the floor.
you do get some weird effects with the shallow dof at 1.4 though !
