View Full Version : 400D - Whats it worth?
I bumped into a guy at the golf club today who said he was about to buy a 450D. I mentioned I had a 400D that I was about to get rid of and he asked me how much.....Problem was I didn't know. He asked me to give him a call, so what would I get for:
EOS 400D - approx 2 year old
Battery Grip - No AA battery tray (but then again I have never needed it)
kit lens EF-S 18-55. with Hoya UV Filter
Cable release
3 Batteries (2 Canon)
I was thinking 200-250. Is that fair?

I take it you actually mean 18-55? If so, then somewhere between the two prices you mention.
If it really is a 17-55mm, then about £700-800.
Oops you're right. I'll fix the OP.

I'd think more in the £300 zone. I got mine (body only*) on eBay for £200 and it was the cheapest around at that time. And yours is with a grip...
That's my opinion.
Good luck with the sale!
(* It didn't even come with batteries, a cap or anything.)
I bought my 400D two months ago and paid 300 quid for it, that was with the 18-55mm lens, UV filter, Canon battery grip and 4 batteries and thought it was a great price. Almost exactly same as what you have to sell except I have no cable release. The one I bought had around 7500 actuations on it when I bought it. Hope that helps.
