View Full Version : Someone forgot to pay the rent
Sorry I haven't been around...
Had a couple of personal crises and a bust PC and haven't got the time or motivation to spend on forums of late.
I have managed to add a couple of L lenses to my Asda carrier bag though (17-40/70-200)
This was one of the first I took with the 17-40L
PS: The thread title relates to the image, not me!)

Great to see you around mate :) Hope your personal crises weren't too serious :)
Nice choice on lens additions too ;)
Lovely shot - great colour, typical of the 17-40L.

Ahhh! so thats what Im supposed to be able to do with my 17-40!
Lovely shot Bachs ... (hope the probs are sorted!)
Thanks guys and gals :)
The shot was taken near to Ballatar on the road up to Tomintoul on the edge of the Cairngorms.
I was careful to get low enough to hide the road!
It was taken whilst travelling between jobs and the area was bathed in that special golden Autumn light which is why I've started to take the risk of carrying my camera gear in the car during the week.
The 17-40L is a superb lens... I expected sharpness (this was handheld) but the colours and contrast are superb too.
As for the problems, do the phrases Inland Revenue and beans on toast ring any alarm bells?

Hope all is better now and nice to see lens is working hard!
Lovely work with good effective composition. The red roof adds a nice touch of colour.

Anyone with a company car...the onus is on YOU to inform the grim reaper of any changes. I got stung for 2 years underpayment.
I don't have to work hard with the 17-40...thats the beauty of it!

Thanks Milou...I read somewhere that a touch of red is always effective to break up a green scene.
