Hi guys

Well I took a break from job hunting yesterday as the weather was gorgeous and got my butt down to Kew Gardens to hopefully grab some autumnal shots.

As it was a weekday the place was pretty empty, so I didn't have to hang around for too long in places to get shots without doddering old biddies or screaming kids

Anyway, here's a few worth sharing. Comments and critique welcome as usual as this is a slight break from my normal shots of cars/motorsports so I tried to concentrate on composition - something I have trouble with at times.

All shots here have been resized in CS2, with USM applied and a couple have had levels edited but no major post processing to speak of other than a few leaves or jet trails cloned out.

Wow ... you have been busy EO ... a great set of pics and some stunners in amongst them ...

Far too many to comment or critique them all of course ...:D

Among my personal favourites would be the glasshouse ... it is a well composed shot generally but ... imo it could probably do with losing a lot of the shadowed foreground ... I can see what you were aiming for, I think ... but it detracts somewhat from the overall impact that works very well generally ... imo ...:p

BTB ... didn't realise they had moved the wheel and bridge to Kew ... ... although the shot of the wheel is simply a corker ... v. eyecatching ...

Lovely set to look at ...TFS ...:p

I enjoyed those too. The glasshouse shot particularly. I did notice some of the tree shots look like they need sharpening - probably down to resizing.

Lovely set of images there (I can see being a popular comment in here ;))
Very striking colours. I think only one or two don't do it for me.

#3 - Bit busy for my liking, and feels like you're hiding the focal point.
#5 - Again too Busy
11 and 12 (just dont do it for me personally).

The rest, I think are excellent. Some very very striking and prominent colours  Thanks for sharing.

Thanks peeps, as I said it's a little bit of a departure from my usual car shots so I was pleased with the way they turned out.

Lovely set of images here. I like several but as I am a techie type (and therefore don't venture into the "nature" section that often) Th ewheel would have to grab my attention.......... but then again #1.... that tree is stunning.
Then again the glasshouse is rather good........... and I am not sure that the shadow bothers me . Maybe it wasn't green enough for some:p

Anyway all enjoyable  thanks for sharing.
