I'd like to pick up a spare battery (or two) for my camera and just wondered if anyone could recommend a source for some non-Canon (i.e. cheaper) batteries or let me know that I shouldn't be considering them as they're rubbish etc. I'm particularly looking for the LP-E5 ones.

Any advice appreciated :)

Them and I have used several HK supplier on Ebay. Never had a problem. Even got a rechargable grip for my 40D, no extra batteries needed:thumbs:

I've been wary of the HK sellers - might have a look at them though - any chance you could PM me the name of a seller if you can recommend one?? Some of them seem to have dodgy feedback and I'd prefer to use one that comes somewhat recommended.

The ones for my 50D from 7DayShop are proving excellent so far.

Hi, Thought this might fit the bill. I have used them for rechargeable batteries in the past, no problems at all.

As already said 7dayshop LP-E5 £4.99 for one or £4.69 each if you buy more than one, a wee bit cheaper than the £42.75 Jessops are charging for the genuine ones.

Got mine a while back and they are spot on can't tell the difference between them in the camera. I'd recomend them with out any hesitation.

:plusone:
Cheap and apart from no Canon logo, they look the same.

My batteries from 7day are silver :gag: Ugly bloomin things and look really quite cheap and nasty. They work fine though, so I'd buy more if I needed to :)
