Whipping is when the guys go over a jump and try to lay it flat in the air, helps reduce speed for landing but also helps point the bike in the direction they want to get maximum power down when they do land. This ones not quite flat but I like the heat haze coming from the exhaust :) Pity about the crap light again, ended up ISO 640 1/200 at F3.2

Thanks Mini, lot of fun today but I was actually shooting to a spec as well. Three of the guys there are being sponsored and one is doing the nationals. I've got a job to do a portfolio for them

The first one is one of them and it's not good enough for a portfolio IMO. Got a couple of others which are though ;)

Like this though ;) Tried a few different angles. This is the same jump as the one where I'm underneath the bike above. Instead of standing on the ground though I climbed a small tree to get more level with them.

Nice shots Dod. I especially love the "head chopped off" one - I get a few of those too - except mine are usually "rider riding out of frame!"

Cracking set Dod, The last is my favourite due to the blurred trees I think, works well that one.

Dunno why I didn't see these before Dod. Cracking stuff, I wish we had some MX or enduro stuff going on around here.

Really good - particularly like the last one you've posted there - the level viewpoint and blurred trees make the shot slightly different to the stock views we get to see...
