Sunset in Essex

any advice on improving these??

Incredible sky there. Agree that #2 is the better one. I'd be tempted to crop a bit of the sky off at the top and completely silhouette the bottom :thumbs:

maybe crop about a third off the top of the sky.

I'd say you either need a more interesting silhouette - ie a few skyscrapers - a ferris wheel - town and a park with trees OR use some nd grads or a hdr technique on the sky to keep some light in the city. you could even try getting long exposures with light trails in the city.
I guess its just a nice sky at the moment - i'd say it needs more.
