5dmk1 + 40d
if you had both, but one had to go which would you choose, and why
For me the 40d without a thought. Very little I shoot on DLSR moves and most of it requires a wide lens.
It's always about choosing the most needed tool, is it not.
I would keep the 40D but I do mostly moving thingies, plus I prefer the 1.6 crop.
Depends what sort of photography you do, if I did mostly portraits, landscapes and that sort of stuff I would be keeping the 5D!

i think
or stay .40d to go
.
thanks for replies
there's a quality to the 5D shots I couldn't seem to replicate with a crop sensor. Can't define it but unless you need the fps of the 40D, I'd stick with the 5D.

I play the same game really, i mainly shoot portrates but have managed some moving shots which came out well on the 5D.
But the reason its in my bag is because of the type of work i require it for. Full frame goodness.

Well I recently bought a 5D, so clearly suits my style of shooting.
Having said that, took a bit of time to learn how to get the best out of it, so stick with it.
