they all are amazing!! :| great job
No. 1 is really stunning. Like these a lot. In two minds about the 'Mummy' shots though...
You can always tell a good model if she doesn't look the same in all the photos...

I have to say, I just love your work!
I obviously have a lot to learn in this area ... ok, change that to everything!
From an entirely novice point of view I cant grasp where the first 3 are coming from.
In shot 1. I like the lighting, the model is obviously fabulous but her hair & clothing look like you grabbed her off the street. 2 looks wooden and I dont like the box you can see her standing on, 3, for me, the background lets it down.
4 ... oooh I love 4!!!
These are the kind of pics I love to see from you and never tire of looking at!
I like the first 'mummy shot' I think the angle & lighting works quite nicely but I not too keen on the 2nd shot, too much out of focus stuff at the front & hard shadows for me.
As I say these are just the opinions of a complete novice and Id be interested to hear what you were aiming to achieve with the pics that dont appeal to me as I have so much to learn .... and you seem to know what youre doing! :)
Inaglo,
This is the spot-on sort of "review" all forums lack and I really appreciate.
You see all too often people getting backs up at people who don't just go WOW at their work. Instead of reading and enjoying how others interpret photos.
As a result, a lot of people won't give their honest and personal opinion for fear of being barked at or upsetting people.
Thanks for taking the time to add you comment though.
Photography is my job, but the stuff I post here is all own and experimental work where I don't have an art director or client swinging an axe over my head. It's purely for the fun of it and a pleasure to share.
Regards, Rob.
Far beter than I can do, but...
Ok you asked... I'll try not to repeat anything that Inaglow said
1: Nice lighting except that the (blown?) highlights on her palm are distracting.
2: Lose the box. Top 2/3rds are more dramatic maybe a closer crop here?
3: Not sure if I like the feet "nailgunned" to the floor. Kinda cute. DOF or post process blur the wall?
4: This I like :) . If I had to comment I think that burning the hair and cheek a little darker would help
5,6 : Looks like she's had a fight with the Andrex dog and lost. Tho the latter has a more striking pose.
No4 is excellent! It would make a great cd cover! It reminds me of Alladin sane (bowie) No1 is certainly striking. The others just slightly miss the mark for me.

Well spotted. Number two reminds me of Band on the Run - Macartneys mob, back in the day.
I think the shots are stunning and thanks for sharing them with us, but some valid feedback above.
For eaxmple I thought number 1 was great, but on review the clothing does seem, well, ordinary in comparison to the style of the shot, but then again thats maybe what you were trying to achieve.

Best ones, IMHO, are #3, #4 and #5.
Not so keen on the blown highlights in #1, although there's no denying it's a striking shot.
#2, I'm just not too keen on - it looks cold. I can relate to the Band On The Run comment though (might have been better against a brick wall?)
#3 - I really like the 'cute goth' look of this one. Nice posing of her feet!
#4 - very striking shot. Best of the lot, as far as I'm concerned.
#5 - jury's still out on this one
Just my opinion - they're all better than I could do anyway, so well done!

All good work here. Small technical faults have already been picked up butas said are relatively minor.
Last two remind me of some promo shots that were everywhere in the 80's but that says more about me (and my age ;)) than the quality of the shots.
Thanks for sharing
Very nice, model is damn sexy too

I really like #1 blown highlights and all when I first saw it I thought Laura Croft.... woman of mystery
1, 3 and 4 for me are outstanding, even if there are a couple of blown highlights in 1
the mummy shots are ok but i think i would have prefered to see her eyes, i got a thing about eyes...#2 i like, but there is something there i cant quite get round, i think its her expression, its almost the same as #1?
Can I ask where you got this bag from? Its just the sort of bag I've been after ;) Awesome work dude.
