I like that :)
the flipped swan has slightly harder lines along it's neck, but thats about the only thing i could comment on.
I really like it, how did you do it?
Good bit of editing.
Like digitalfailure I note the harder lines on the 2nd swan. Actually I note that you hav'nt cloned the natural fluffy bits on the original, presumably because that's hard (true).
The following is not comment on your composition which I like, more of a technique query/question/helper (i hope)...
I'm guessing you "cut around" with a selection tool?
I dont know if you tried the following, but you can:
A] cut around it with a selection tool/pen -> convert to quick mask and fettle
or
B] use the most contrasty chanel -> new chanel -> layers (to black and white (not grey)) -> change to selection, then fettle in quick mask.
The latter [B] takes longer IMHO, but generally achieves much better results.
Alternatively just clone out the "fluffy" bits on the original.
Lovely idea well executed IMO
as oldigt said jamiej i cut it out in photoshop .flipped it horizontally. then dragged it onto the orginal "which i had duplicated" it only took about 10 mins i wanted to see if anyone liked the idea before i try to do it again properly thanks for the coments and advice "oldigt"
