Hi Guys,

This is my first post, so don't be too hard!:D

Took this picture yesterday of one of my mates in Llandegla forest near Wrexham, what do you all think.

Really, any comments would be appreciated! (The clarity seems to have diminished when resizing tho')

Thanks

edit: resized - sorry guys

Prefer the second one but I'd push it right into a silhouette if I were you. At the moment you still see a little bit of detail on him which is distracting for me.

Himupnorth's probably the best guy to comment though :)

2nd one is better IMHO and as dod says full silhouette.

If you have the time ... add a bit more air for dramatic effect. I'd probably drag the scenery down a tad.

It's only cheating if:
A) you get caught
B) your morals get in the way

This any better.

I don't mind playing with colour etc, but raising the height of the jump would spoil the memory of the occassion for me! But thanks for the comments, they're very much appreciated.

Whaddya mean 'don't be too hard' ...

You post decent pics like that from the off ... and you are bound to come in for some right stick ...

OJ of course ...:D

I like the composition but do agree about the silhouetting bit ... also prefer the coloured version too ...

I think you may be slightly oversized (800 px on longest ...!) and under pixelled Ant ... especially your second coloured post ... it is very pixellated ... at least on my monitor ...

TFS ...:p

sorry for the sizing. Resized now.

The originals are OK, I've resized with 'irfanview'. Is that what caused the pixelating problems?

Best re-sized before our friendly admins do it for you ... take no prisoners this lot ...

Not sure about the pixellation Ants ... ... but you are only using 30 or 40kb out of a possible 160kb ...and it is still there on my monitor ...

Still good pics though ...:D

The image quality is a bit pants. I guess you've got your jpg settings too low..... looks like jpg artifacts to me. Crank the quality up to >8 (80%)

Quite nice that. I know that area well, as I used to go mountain running up there until I got hit by a car :(

Chances are I'll bump into you one day up there :D

Can't believe no one else has said this but looks like ET has grown up and gone Mountain Biking! :D

Now you sorted your resize it looks great. I actually prefer the graduating background in #2 (the strogest colours at the top). If you can get that background with the sharpness of #4 I think you have cracked it.

Well done mate!
