Just taken delivery of an 8GB card.

453 images of raw goodness, or 1300+ of jpeg.

Oh yes.

Considering I had only 1GB afore that, I am jolly pleased.

Now to sort out a couple of spare batteries.

Woohoo!

...or 453 images of missery as it becomes corrupted and you wished you had 2 x 4Gb cards instead?

I use to worry about getting bigger cards for the above reason, but I have never had a sandisk card go tits up on me so am considering some 8gb cards when I need to upgrade. 16gb still scares me though :p

Lol.....well i've got an 8Gb and a 16Gb card, just for convience really. And why use 2x 4Gb when you could have 4x 1Gb....chances of it corrupting are very small so I wouldn't worry.

I've recently purchased a 16Gb card which will happily get me over 1,000 RAW images however just because I can doesn't mean I have to. I intend to swap cards every 500 images or so. It just means the capacity is there should I ever need it.

I'm not a pro though so if I lose images I'll be upset but it's not the end of the world.
