Taken this morning on my way back from a delivery at Manton Wood.

I knew there was a reason why I got up at 2:30am!!!

NIce one Janice, blimey the water is low at Rutland !

Might be an optical illusion but the sky looks brighter to the right of the rainbow than the left ?

Yes it does. I noticed that when I took the photo. The rainbow went up and over to the right and all inside the arc was lighter.

Isn't that true of rainbows though? The sky does look lighter on one side...due to the diffraction of light or something like that (which makes the rainbow).

Lovely shot janice. What clicnches it for me is the reflection in the water. Shame the water wasn't a little higher so we could see more of it.

Very nice Janice, and as Marcel says the reflection on the water clinches it.

good capture. rainbows are one of those things you just can't sit around waiting to happen - they eitherdo or don't...
