We needed some fresh air and so we went autumn hunting (better late than never)!

Taken from inside Angelsea Abbey grounds. This is a working mill and produces fine flour..... we'll heve to try some one day!

Hmmm... foreground is underexposed and the building at the far end is blown out(?)
Reflections are/could be good if you play with the exposure a little.

I rather like this - nicely framed by the foreground, composition draws you right into the mill, and lovely autumnal colours.

I can't decide whether I like the way you can see the odd leaf or two in the upper left or not!

Not one of my best..... I did get what I wanted to achieve - dark surrounding with a hint of what it is. The reflections then the Mill. There is detail in RAW, but processing for the web has lost it..... Maybe I've lost it?

May a bit of HDR......

Thanks for the comments.

Well, given it a bit HDR - it's different but is it more acceptable?

I liked, and actually preffered, the first Barry. Warmer colours & the blown building didn't bother me.
You can really see the wonderful yellows in the foreground in this one though!

#2 is an improvement and makes the image "pop" Barry. I like!

HDR has saved, IMO, a lovely composition.
Well done.

I think you're too harsh on yourself.
Inspiration comes and goes.
You obviously have talent.
