Any reccomendations as an upgrade over the Kit Lens that comes with it??
Go on, help a newbie out!!
Budget ??
If you are looking for cheap, then a Tamron 55-200 Di is a good addition to, but not really a replacement for the kit lens. About £70-80 new.
A good second hand lens is the metal bodied Minolta 35-105, similar build quailty to the Minolta beercan. Go for around £60-80 on Ebay.

what sort of focal length are you looking for? if you want similar to the 18-70 kit lens, then you won't go far wrong with the sigma 17-70 F/2.8-4 DC macro.if you want low light performance, then look at the sigma 24-70 F/2.8 EX DG...but vexpect to part with the best part of £220 on the 17-70,and over £300 on the 24-70(new prices)

I recently supplemented my A200 kit lens with the Tamron 55-200 (thanks leaky5!!).
They overlap a little (which I like) and for me it has really extended the range. The Tamron is fab value for money. :)
