Here is my contribution from the weekend in Dorset. I've never taken any landscape shots before, and I certainly learned lots from the guys - thanks guys!

#1 Kimmeridge Bay:

#2 Sunset at Kimmeridge Bay:

#3 Swanage Pier at sunrise:

#4 Another one of Swanage at Sunrise. Noticeable vignetting from the 10-20mm, but I still like it. I thought the birds were sensor dust when I first saw the shot  Phew....

#5 Sunburst, again at Swanage:

#6 Silhouette of a tree (I just love mono tree shots!)

#7 My first ever shot of a rainbow. I think it may have been at Studland. There was a brief rain shower whilst we were on the beach:

#8 Hoodi showing off his tackle....

#9 Adam (Forbiddenbiker)... spot Hoodi and Spencer (Ghandi) in there too (posted previously in general sharing):

Very very nice mini - particularly liking the first two, they're cracking, but these are all good shots.

As you mentioned your horizons are way off kilter in a lot of these. A mini tutorial for correcting (i'm using CS2, but I'm pretty sure it's the same in older versions) :

Locate the 'Measure' tool (underneath the Eyedropper tool).
Use this tool to draw a line parallel to the horizon (just draw it across the sea 'line')
Now go to Image > Rotate Canvas > Arbitrary. A figure will already be entered in the box, so just click OK.
Your horizon should now be straight, but the edges of the image will need cropping. The bigger the adjustment, the more that needs cropping!

Hope that makes sense, and that you're using photoshop!

Cheers for that Hoodi! Yes, I have CS2 but don't know how 99% of it works  See - I wasn't wrong when I said that I didn't have a straight horizon

Very good Mini, I like those.

1 & 2 are my fav's - What sort of post processing did you end up doing?

If 1,2,7 are anything to go by you've missed out the beginner stages altogether.

Very good work.

#1 I converted to mono and added a blue filter in photoshop

#2 just tweaked levels and curves

I'm no good at photoshop so usually just twiddle about until it looks about right  I have absolutely no idea how to do layers etc :help:

Had a bit of a nightmare with the film camera.... after the first day, came to rewind the film only to realise that I hadn't loaded it properly in the first place :shake: so all the shots were lost :'( Hopefully got some good shots on the 2nd day - I get to process the film tomorrow, so fingers crossed.

Nice one -that was some sunset and you've nicely caught the storm on the horizon (and it was way way too dark when we finished).Hoodi's tackle indeed 0_o
