Shame it was gloomy. Sun would have really helped.

Hi Paul,
it was so gloomy it was nearly dark, but we certainly plan to go back and stay at the same hotel, the Forest Hills, Aberfoyle right on the Loch, a stunning location for a great hotel.

Mikey, I reworked your file and found it had plenty detail there that you can get out.

Simple shadow/highlight (both about 30%) and a low opacity fill on new layer to give colour back to sky. Quick & dirty but shows that this shot is well worth taking some more time in PP. It is a belter! :thumbs:

lovely shot, I would simply crop out the sky, it brings your eye to look at the wonderful autumnal scene ;)
