What do you use for storing filters when they're not in use and whilst in your bag? Obviously I don't want them scratching against one another and a reasonable amount of padding in the case would be handy.

Thanks.

I keep my Cokin filters in the original plastic cases.

The few filters I have stay in their original cases until I need/want to use them. Takes up a little space in the bag but there's still room for everything else!

And do the Hitech filters come in cases? I assume so?

Come in a plastic sleeve, which is where I keep mine.

Slightly off-topic, but saves making another thread.
Where do you keep your flash gels? I have one of those FREE Lee Gel Sample Packs.

And wonder where you keep them?

I've bought 2 of these

http://www.thedigitalcamerashop.co.uk/product_details.php?id=2414

Each hold 10 filters, but have about 4-5 in each. one box contains my ND filters the other holds special effects such as the Star flters and coloured Grads.

Do the job very well and take up much less space than individual boxes.

A CD carry case (one with soft velour separators not the plastic things) is what I use, hold about 10 filters and also the screw on adapters all in one place (the UWA filter holder doesn't fit but that is the only down side

unfortunately whilst they do make a filter pocket it is only suitable for filters up to 82mm
