View Full Version : filters on ebay?
i am in the market for a C polarising filter.
there are many "apparent" bargains on ebay.
is there, like in most other walks of life, a dodgy counterfiet/copy market, to be avoided.
i am all for a bargain. but i dont want any dodgy rip-off kit!
cheers for your advice

I'm sure there are, buy a decent brand from a good seller and you should be fine..
I think that the biggest problem with many eBay listings these days, is that it's really hard to determine where the sellers are actually based :|.
You may think that it makes no difference to the price you pay, but it does when it comes paying Customs fees, delivery charges and (sometimes) currency exchange surcharges. OK, for a filter, the only downside will be the delivery time and the problem of returning it, if necessary, but for something like a camera body ... forget it .
Like everything else on eBay, check the seller's feedback and base your decision on that, I would say.
