OK in a while I am going to buy a big lense. AAAH but which one?selection so far (since retiring)-- ef 85mm 1.8--ef 24-70 2.8L--ef 200mm 2.8L-- To be acquired before the biggun. ef 50mm 1.2L.
OK so for walking about a bit with the real possibility of 'dear' etc. large birdies what's best?

ef 400mm 2.8L
ef 400mm OD4.0L
Absolutely add a 1.4x and you see the dilema. So many variations of capability, not the least weight and cost! Flexibility, quality before cost.
