Oh Yea,, I've got two of them. I use them to keep fit running up and down the length of it to adjust the polarizing filter.

No it doesn't come with a tripod but they do include a free crane, which is only to be expected at that price.

Well as long as i get a good lens pouch i dont mind. DO lowepro or tamrac make a bag that resistant

Apparently the IS isn't up to much - effective enough but not too portable, being 2 tonnes of concrete....
