Yeah I agree. Great shots but why the watermark?

I don't think the watermark is that bad actually, although it would be less distracting if it was faded a little more.

Unfortunately though, I can understand why you've felt the need to put it there. We've had at least two instances this week of users on these forums having had their images used without their permission.

The good thing is though, when it does happen, there's a clear cut trail of proof who the rightful owner is so it's not much of a battle getting the correct recognition or payment.

thanks for the comments.

i know the watermark gets in the way but i felt with these pictures that it would be best to have the watermark there, as i am really happy with these and i dont want them being used without my permission.

i shall fade the copyright down a little more next time.

any comments on the actual photo though?

Sorry, got a little sidetracked there :)

I think I prefer the first shot to be honest. I'm not sore if the shot lends itself to the portrait mode, and I think the addition of the blue sky in the second takes away the mood of the really colourful sunset.

Yup, the more I think about it the more I'm sure. I prefer the first. It's well exposed and composed.
I know it technically breaks the rule of thirds with the sun being almost in the middle, but I think it works quite well. :)

I am sure we would all enjoy it more if you did Dal ...

The landscape (1st) shot really is stunning ... and (aside from the w/m ... :D) ... would make a great blown up and framed shot ... imo ...

Second lacks impact and the blue sky adds nothing ... imo too ... not sure the portrait effect works with this one either ... :shake:

TFS ... :D
