Hi,

Im looking at buying another battery for my canon 1000d, any recommendations for a 3rd party battery?

Personnally, I would stick to a well known brand if you don't want to buy a genuine Canon one, Hahnel (which are also Jessops batteries) get good reviews. :thumbs:

Digital Rev's batteries are as good as the genuine ones I have found. Not tried anyone else's though.

Yep, you'd have to be mental to fork out serious cash for a Canon battery when many third party ones are just as good. I'm using a Duracell with my 50D and it's fine.

I got my two from Kerso, don't know what brand they are but they have twice the charge and last much longer than the original (which got washed...)

Phottix ones, from Ebay are pretty good, I'm using them in both my D300 and G10 with no problems :thumbs:

I've used Inov8 batteries for both my D40x and then my D90 (different types) and they have been excellent on both. Best place to look is www.play.com
