Just trying to Decide if i should sell my 17-50. I have on order a Canon 24-70f2.8L :) I am quite chuffed bit of an impulse buy but hey ho :).

The wide end is good but I've got a Tokina 10-17mm fisheye for super wideness just pondering if I should keep the tamron or not.

If you've already bought the 24-70, why not just wait a little with both and then decide?

Playing with my Tamron 24mm would be fine for everyday walk around lens :) and I'm thinking when im taking Jump shots kiteing I use the fisheye all the time anyway, but with the Aquapack thing im getting might be worth using the Tamron.

Decision :O or do i splash out again on a 10-20 :O.

Depending how much I need cash next couple weeks might be an option as My mate needs a better walk about.

compare them to your needs side by side if you have no rush to sell, see which you prefer as you may find 24mm not wide enough

Think I'll have to wait and see, from setting the tamron too 24 its quite wide not the widest but should be good I think & saves changing lenses, also depends on how much I can get for my Tamron I guess.

Well through more playing with the camera and thinking it was just a glitch in my camera which now turns out it is not, The af sometimes gets stuck between 1.5-3m and requires a manual tweak to get it back in gear also the focus ring doesn't always change the focus it just spins like its at infinity but its really in the middle of the focus range & there is a faint grinding noise like grit in the motor, Plus from checking the box for damage 2 of the corners are dented like its recieved an impact.

Not very happy atall.

Id get it sent back as soon as possible, thats rubbish for that sort of lens. Where did you buy it from a shop or a forum?

Sounds very serious indeed. Hope you bought it from a reputable place so exchanging it doesn't pose a problem. Let us know what transpires.

Bought it off a tog friend, he's filing all the forms as it was sent Royal mail Special delivery you would think it would be ok. why are the royal mail such butchers when it comes to delivering anything thats not a letter :S.

Have documented the problems and taken photos of the damage to the box etc...

Royal Mail don't insure glass items, you might be struggling here.

Hope not.
