My turn with the nifty

As everyone keeps raving about the nifty fifty thought I'd dust mine off (I never use it!) and drag it to my nephew's first birthday.

A lovely shot and despite the background you already know about it is a pretty good composition ... very natural too ... :thumbs:

Not sure but to me ... although you have achieved great eye contact ... I think it looks a little soft ... :thinking:

I'd personally crop some of that negative /background space from the top. For me it feels a little uncomfortable having the eyes so central in the frame. But thats just me.

I love the B&W conversion too.

I think I'm going to have to dusty off my nifty and start using it too :)
