Hi all

Having just had a couple of succesful craft fairs the new wide angle lens is looking a realistic idea now.
I was thinking about the Sigma 10-20 as I've heard good things about it. I realise that my Cokin P system isn't going to work with it (hell, the stupid thing vignettes on a Nikkor 18-70!) so have been looking at 100mm filter system, probably based on Hi-Tech now I've found out about them.

Unfortunately, having had a bit further dig on the 'net it seems that 100mm filters are only really any use at 20mm or above (on 35mm) and therefore allowing for the 1.5x of my D70 I'm only going to be sure of no vignetting from 14mm on the Sigma - kind of pointless buying a lens to only use just over half of it's focal length?!

If anyone has any advice or knowledge to share it would be greatly appreciated - don't really know the Hi-Tech range and what's available (ie, wide angle adaptors for example) as have only just discovered it. Would rather not use Cokin again due the "grey" grad rather than true neutral and due to the promise to take the wife away over Xmas a full Lee set is looking unlikely!

Cheers

I use a cokin stylee filter holder on my 10-20 with only minimal vignetting at the wider end. I cut it down so that it holds only one filter at a time mind you which helps a lot.
