Could anyone recommend a good place to get second hand lenses from apart from Ebay.
Cheers
Yep, there is a banner at the bottom of the page here for MPB. Matt is great and if he does not have what you are looking for he will do his best to get it for you.
Ffordes, LCE and Greys of Westminster (for Nikon) are also highly recommended.

As said above MPB, I've had a few bits from them and everything has been spot on
I've also heard good things about MXV in Uckfield, but never bought from them, http://www.mxv.co.uk/

London Camera Exchange are very good. I have had several dealings with the Southampton Civic branch and they have been spot on.

Another vote for MPB. A few of us here at work have used him and the kit has always been better than expected.

I've bought several bits from Camech & can't fault them. Although I've always driven there & collected in person rather than having stuff sent out to me, just so I can have a look at it for myself first

Mifsuds.com i think they are excellent,Based in Devon and I was an overseas buyer and they were super kind,Quick postage etc very very please
:agree: MPB, used them a couple of times and well suited.
I've bought a couple of 2nd hand lenses from Park Cameras and have never been disappointed.
My dad used London Camera Exchange when we were living in Southampton and again had no complaints.

Parks supplied my 100-400 at a VERY good price.
I`ve just looked at apperture's site, they`ve got a 50mm f1 for the bargain price of £3290.
Crikey.....

Can't fault Mifsuds. Fantastic customer service
Grays service is excellent, but they're rather pricey for second hand kit. At least you know you're getting what you pay for though.
Had personal dealings with MXV and Park and both good.
As for Mifsuds, they've had some bad press here recently. A good friend of mine has also had a bad attitude from them. It seems they're ok when they're taking your money off you, but when it comes to deviating from this process, like having a problem, then their tone changes.

I used misfuds recently and they were very good, I bought a hood for my nifty (as well as a pair of tamron lenses) and forgot the ring that goes on the body and just got the hood, dropped them an email a few days later and they posted it on to me.

great thanks guys i'll be happier buying from one of those as they seem to give you a warranty as well which you obviously don't get with ebay.

Don't forget to look in the for sale section or post in the wanted here if there is anything specific you're looking for.
I've got quite a lot from it and bagged some bargains.

Personally (and this is in no way reflective of the opinions of others) I found Matt at MPB to be extremely arrogant, and that's not the first time I have heard that either. Ffordes are great but from my own personal experience I doubt I would use MPB again.
Just my 2 pence worth - and not the opinion of the site!!
