In light of noah's excellent "Paint" find here (http://www.talkphotography.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=13747), I thought I'd post this link that I came upon a few years ago.

Link 1 (http://www.gfxzone.org/personal/louie/02/louie-me_and_my_little_sister.html)

A hand drawn image called "Me and my little sister, by Louie". As I say, hand drawn in Photoshop.

This spawned a 'tribute' image, entitled 'Me and Louie's sister (http://www.wade.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/images/FinalPic.png), complete with tutorial, here (http://www.wade.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/tutorial1.htm), by a chap called "Wade" / Daniel Hammonds.

Both threads (all three images) just go to show what can be done with a little dedication, patience, and alot of skill.

they're so good, some wonder whether they've just been photoshopped from real pictures to look like fakes. :D

That is impressive. I had a friend in High School who could draw on Corel Draw just using circles, ovals and shading and make some amazing pictures.

I have to say the artistic talent in these people leaves me in awe. That is why I have taken up photography, stick figures is hard as far as I'm concerned!

LOL Isn't there a saying that all photographers are simply frustrated (crap) artists?
I did used to be able to turn my hand to a little sketch in my youth, but not sure about now.
