Anyone got one/used one? I have found a place that i can go to that has them for £140, same as the Sigma 70 - 3--mm APO...any thoughts?

K thanks Catdaddy, been advised that the Sigma may be the better lens,,,,

Tamron have replaced this lens with a new model covering the same range but incorporating their Di designed glass. While I appreciate the Sigma will be better than the old Tamron, I would not discount the new version without first comparing it directly.

If you want more information about the improvements made to this lens and the principals of “Di” then this link (http://www.tamron.com/news/35mm/28300di.asp) will help.

I would guess that the new Tamron will still cost more though in real terms, so bear that in mind when you are doing your research.
