I think your asking the wrong people, you should be asking the 500mm f/4 owners why they didn't go for the 600mm, i assume price difference is going to be a large factor. I highly doubt anybody with the 600 f/4 is going to be hoarding a £7000 lens unless they were happy with it.

With any luck. Not %100 sure of it's weight limits but I have the 5541 which supports 18kg which is way over the 600 setup so you should be ok?
