I hope so!!!

Importing from the US is getting more tempting as the pound is getting stronger on the Dollar at the moment. May have to have words with Kerso again soon :)

Wouldn't hold your breath. It's the Yen/£ that has the biggest effect.

Kerso may be the better option

Kerso may be the better optionBang on and until the pound makes some ground on the yen nothing will change.

Have you seen http://www.camerapricebuster.co.uk/ recently. Prices are going down gradually right now.
The pound/yen rate was around 200 last year, dropped to 130 in Jan and is now up to 150+ so we should be expecting prices to drop a bit.

I have been following the prices of some canon lenses (85L, 70-200 f4 IS and 10-22 and some more) and they have in fact gone up even after the huge increase in march. not much but still up. there are of course items that have dropped in price, but I would not be overly optimistic here.

Yes I do believe they will go down, but not for a little while yet.

I think they will go up again before they go down.

Retail prices should lag a fair bit from currency rates due to time in the supply chain. Probably up a little more before down...but I wouldn't hold your breath.

Don't hold your breath, and don't rely too much on Camera Price Buster either. Canon have cut back production, and retailers are holding less stock, so the chances of actually being able to buy lenses at the prices you see are distinctly iffy right now.

Listen to this guy - if there is one person round here who knows about buying kit it is Stewart!
