Hi folks,

Last night I was shooting a local band who were recording a live album. It was a great night and I had complete freedom to shoot from anywhere including on stage. I've not even started going through the shots properly but here's a quick selection from the 450+ that I shot.

The 50mm f1.4 performed fantastically, very impressed with it!

Brilliant shots - pin sharp!

#3 and #4 - the guy on the left makes it look like they've been joined by George Dubbya on stage! Any particular reason for the costume changes?

LOL, I'll let him know - maybe he could make some money as a lookylikey :D

They changed costume halfway but the shots are out of sequence in my post.

I've batch re-sized a whole bunch and stuck them HERE (http://www.thebigpicturelibrary.com/thunderbridge)

You'll see the fun I had trying to get all 4 of them singing into the single mic without someone's face being covered by the mic or an instrument

Jesus! Just clicked on the link and I'm sure I just had a photographic holocaust on my screen! What software did you use for that?

Great pics in there, btw

EDIT: Just visited their main site... Some good templates in there!

It's a site called BigPictureLibrary.com somebody on TP posted a link to it the other week, it's free to set up and use and I figured I'd give it a spin.

Thanks for the comments BTW, it was my first band shoot so I was a little unsure how things would turn out but I'm pretty pleased with the results. I spot metered off their faces and shot manual. Even auto WB seemed to work out ok for a change!

Good stuff there - superbly sharp. I'd love to see No 3 in B&W - it's look like a vintage shot from the 1940's!

Superb pictures, esp the 1st one.
Wish I'd been there. Must see if they're playing anywhere near me
