Ok messed with it some more today and got this. BUT with the lights being farther away his eczema is more apparent. Guess I need a new kid.

That's a beauty! His eczma might be noticeable to you but I can't say I wold have noticed anything had you not mentioned it - I assume you mean the slight pinky-ness on his cheeks? To be honest the fantastically sharp eyes are so mesmerising you don't really notice it.

Get it printed and on your wall now!

That's really ace Renee ... a lovely shot ...

The catch lights are much better in terms of size ... although for me they generally look better in the 10 or 2 o'clock positions ...

But it is you who has got to be pleased with the result ... :D

I do not see much evidence of the dreaded 'E' you mention ... looks a lovely little one ... with a great natural pose in front the lens ...

:p

Amazing that this was the kit lens eh?

Thanks both. I guess since I know it is there it is more apparent to me.

I would have loved for the light to be at the 10 but that was as high as the light would go. I've asked for lights for Xmas but don't think I'll be getting them.

Don't mind at all Liberalis. The blue in his eyes is really cool. I think the noise helps even his skin tone also. Ohh well already ordered the colour version.

That's a lovely picture Renee and one you should be rightly proud of. If you are bothered by the skin have you tried softening it, I think I've got a tutorial somewhere which might help?

Colin I have actually done a layer of gaussian blur and then erased over his eyes to keep them sharp. So his skin is much more blotchy on the original.
