Nikon D5000

Anyone tried one of these out yet? The live view tilt screen has got my attention because I take a lot of my shots low to the ground. I have read a review that looked pretty promising and aparently it is just the D90 with extra features (same sensor and everything). Just interested to know what you guys think.

its nothing like the d90, i think its a horrible and i tried one out the other week at jessops and i tell you its so ugly, i think it sort of ruins nikon reputation as one of the top DSLR makers and if they start making others like the d5000 then nikon may be going down a dark path.

D90 is much better than D5000.
As D5000 cannot use lens without motor because there is no motor in the body!
No top LCD screen as well in D5000!
The problem with the tilt screen is when D5000 attached onto a tripod.
And try to tilt it so that everyone can see when they are in the shot!
The tripod legs actually blocked it.!
If you want tilt screen, I suggest that Sony or Panasonic are better choice!

I've had a shot of one, to me the screen is just a gimmick and one that'll probably break. It's not a D90, it's based on the smaller D40/D60 series chassis, so no af motor.

It reminded me of a broken pencil.........

no af motor though
