Help needed please :-(

This weekend I have broken my Canon 80-200 F2.8L series lense and had my Canon 550 flash stolen from my car, had better weekends. I have spoken to Canon who have informed me that they don't make either item anymore and thee lense is unrepairable. I do have insurance which covers me for theft from my car and accidental damage on the lense. Does anyone know which would be the equivalent replacement for these two items.

You'd be looking at an EF70-200/2.8L and 580EX-II flash unit.

I'd imagine the 70-200 f2.8 and 580 EX II would be the natural replacements.

Thanks guys. Things may not be so bad after all as they are an improvment on what I had albeit it going to cost me some excess an a new car window!! I am insured with E and L and had all risks, accidental damage and unattended car cover. I dropped the lense which I am hoping is covered and was wondering if anyone else has had any claims with E and L?
