Just wondering if anyone who has or has had this camera can give me some advice on the parameters setting (I think that's what it's called I don't have the camera with me), basically the sharpness, saturation controls etc...

I have always shot at parameter 1 which I believe gives slightly more contrast than 2, however there is also Adobe RGB and the custom sets, I'm just wondering as a general setting for outdoor shoots on either sunny or overcast days what would most people set this to? I tried a few shots this morning on custom with the sharpness, contrast, and saturation slightly increased but as it was only on the LCD screen I couldn't tell too much as I haven't had the time to get the photo's off yet

I too left my 300D on standard settings and got good results. Some say that you should increase the sharpness 1 or 2 units though. Avoid Adobe RGB colour space as your images will look flat if viewing on-sceen or on the web, or home printing.
