hello all,

whilst chatting to Captain Jack at the zoo on friday he was amazed that the canon 1d mk2 cannot write raw images to one card and jpegs to the other at the same time...

so the general question out to you peeps is, can it (my understanding) or can't it (Captain Jacks idea)

(the 1d mk2n can)

Like you said, the N version can, but I'm almost sure it wasn't available in the original 1D Mark II and that it was a new in the upgraded version.

I allways understood one of the upgrades from the MKII to the N was that you could define which you want to use.

Im sure when I dropped in the second card on my N the other day It gave me the option to write JPG to one and Raw to the ohter

Yes this can be done on the N.
